Thanks for telling us about the problem. This novel is like a jewel in Urdu's treasure. One person found this helpful. I can understand why Qurat could have messed this bit up as this was her own era so she was capable of presenting a lot more but this change in style is very confusing for the reader.

The writer finished the book in but reveals signs of events that took place 17 years later with such a deep insight, it is just amazing. This part deserves 5 stars. People of different communities dxriya had lived in harmony all their lives were now growing suspicious of each other.

The chapters are divided in no particular order. The dawn of freedom which permanently partitioned Bengal, the East Pakistan years, the bloody civil war and finally Bangladesh, the characters live through these moments and sometimes succumb dariyx them. With it, she achieved the greatest milestone in her career.

This fiery river of Time flows along the banks of their loves as they are recreated over the centuries through the ripples and the eddies keeping them together, keeping them apart.
